Curtefranca Rosso

Area of production: vineyards belonging to the Uberti Farm, in Erbusco and in Adro

Grapes used: Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Nebbiolo, Barbera.

PRODUCTION PROCESS: 

The grapes are harvested in different times, according to their stage of maturation, the must is left on the peels for a period varying from 12 to 16 days. The grapes are blended after fermentation and the percentages can be different from year to year, according to the best qualities, still in accordance with the regulations of the agricultural union. The wine stays settling in big oak barrels for a variable period from 12 to 24 months before being bottled.

 

ORGANOLEPTIC CHARACTERISTICS:

Deep ruby red colour, with strong orange tints. Ethereal scent, with a rich bouquet (violet). Dry taste, velvety, delicately bitterish and goudronné.

Alcoholic content: 12,5%.

Total acidity: 5,50

 

Serve it at a temperature not over 18°C.

It can bear a very long aging if kept in an ideal environment.

It is a good accompaniment to roasts and game.

Curtefranca Bianco

Area of production: vineyards belonging to the Uberti Farm, in Erbusco and in Adro

Grapes used: White Pinot and Chardonnay.

PRODUCTION PROCESS: 

From a light pressing of strictly selected Chardonnay and White Pinot grapes, we obtain the must that will ferment at a controlled temperature of 18°-20° in stainless steel containers. The wine will be bottled 8 months later.

 

ORGANOLEPTIC CHARACTERISTICS

Pale yellow colour with well-outlined greenish tints.

Intense and persistent scent, slightly aromatic.

Rich, full and elegant taste.

Alcoholic content: 12 %.

Total acidity: 6

 

Serve it cold at 10°C.

Delicious as aperitif, it is a good accompaniment to hors d'oeuvre and fish courses.

Curtefranca Bianco

Curtefranca Bianco Maria Medici

Area of production: vineyards belonging to the Uberti Farm in Erbusco

Grapes used: 100% Chardonnay

PRODUCTION PROCESS: obtained from strictly selected Chardonnay grapes, it is vinified partly in stainless steel containers and partly in natural oak containers. Only after 24 months aging it will be bottled and the result will be a right balance between scent and body of the wine. 

ORGANOLEPTIC CHARACTERISTICS

Intense pale yellow colour with strong greenish tints.

Wide and persistent scent, you can already smell it while filling the glass up.

Taste: as it is a full-bodied wine, it gives a strong "fullness" sensation, well supported by a right acidity.

Alcoholic content: 12,5%.

Total acidity: 6

 

Serve it cool: 12°C.

It can bear the aging if kept in optimum conditions.

It is a good accompaniment to the whole meal, except for game and red meat roasts.

Curtefranca Bianco Maria Medici

Rosso dei Frati Priori

Area of production: vineyard named Ciusì belonging to the Uberti Farm in Erbusco

Grapes used: 100% Cabernet Sauvignon

PRODUCTION PROCESS: Drastic cutting down of the yield per Ha through a severe selection of the grapes. After maceration on the peels, the must is placed in French oak barriques where both alcoholic and malic acid fermentation will end up, the latter being necessary to refine the must. Only after 24 months the wine will be bottled and left for other 12 months for a further refinement. 

ORGANOLEPTIC CHARACTERISTICS

Rather deep ruby red colour. Very rich scent (it reminds of vanilla). Extremely full and velvety taste.

Alcoholic content: 13%.

Total acidity: 6

 

Serve it at a temperature of 18°C.

It bears a very long aging if kept in an ideal environment.

It is a good accompaniment to roasts and cheese: delicious to sip.
